Kate McEvilly
As a child, Kate dreamed of being a princess… until her mother reminded her she came from peasant stock. She still has peasant feet but now with queen dreams.
Kate writes juicy page-turners with humor and a whole lot of heart. In both her rom-coms and television pilots, she centers women who are coming of age and finding their voices. She draws on her Irish Catholic guilt, a near encyclopedic knowledge of pop culture, and a shit ton of therapy in her work.
Her pilots “LOOTERS” and “Sweet, Sweet Fantasy” were both Second Rounders at the Austin Film Festival 2022.
